A different way of looking at health...
Over many years our Western society has offered us
the means to pollute our bodies to such an extent that
they no longer function properly. We eat too many "junk
foods." We skip meals or eat too much. We eat for
convenience rather than for health. Many smoke and
drink, filling their bodies with health robbing poisons.
We're knotted up with emotional stress from marital,
family, occupational, and financial problems.
Then we finally get sick. We develop headaches,
indigestion, gas, allergies, chronic stiffness of
muscles and joints, and a host of other health problems.
We're tired all the time and put on weight. We think it
is normal to be "over the hill" at 40. However, that is
NOT "normal", though it is very common.
Our Creator has a better plan, a plan for abundant
life and health, which comes when the physical, mental,
and spiritual ingredients of health are provided!
At Preventive Health Resources, we teach our clients
to build a Natural Health Lifestyle in body, mind, and
spirit by integrating natural healing methods from a
Christian perspective. Unlike conventional medicine, we
do not diagnose or treat disease symptoms nor prescribe
potentially harmful drugs. Rather we seek to uncover
root causes of ill health and stimulate the body's
natural healing mechanisms through diet, exercise,
nutritional supplementation, counseling, and regular
“check-ups” with Meridian Stress Assessment. We
encourage clients to take the responsibility for their
own health.
What is Meridian Stress Assessment?
Meridian Stress Assessment is a unique, innovative,
computerized energy analysis technique for building
better health. Pioneered by German physician Reinhold
Voll, M.D. in 1953, various methods of screening are
being used by over 40,000 medical doctors in Europe and
Canada, and an increasing number of American
practitioners.
Meriden Stress
Assessment involves taking simple, painless, electronic
readings on the skin surface of the hands and feet. It
is based on the Chinese theory that improper energy flow
through the acupressure meridians causes energy
imbalances in the body. These various acupressure points
have been found to measure relative status of the
corresponding organs, glands, or systems. The subtle
differences in electrical resistance detected by the
sophisticated testing instrument are recorded by
computer for comparison.
Meridian Stress Assessment allows the practitioner to
test vitamins, minerals, enzymes, herbs, and homeopathic
remedies for their "balancing effect" on the body,
measured by their improving previously poor test
readings. The guesswork of nutritional programs is
eliminated.
Meridian Stress Assessment has been described as a
method of "conducting an interview with the human body."
It is also very similar to biofeedback. We believe
Meridian Stress Assessment is the “Health Care of the
21st Century”.
The First Visit ...
New clients receive an initial Meridian Stress
Assessment/Bio-feedback testing evaluation including
organ-gland system screening and tests for nutrient
deficiencies, food environmental sensitivities,
toxicity, and various other health analyses. An
individualized Nutritional Health Program is created
based on these test results.
Staying on track ...
Follow-up evaluations are used to monitor
improvements and make pro-gram adjustments. These
evaluations provide for re-testing clients generally
three months after their initial visit, and at varying
intervals thereafter.
